The Horticulture Wales Awards 2013
Following their first successful Horticulture Wales Awards in 2012, the awards are back this year and are now open for entries!
Their 'Collaboration in Business' Award is open to nominations from groups of two or more businesses or organisations, at least one of whom must work in the Welsh horticulture sector, that showcase partnership working at its very best, such as:
Sharing delivery or transportation costs
Joining forces to purchase supplies
Coordinating supplies to provide a wider choice to customers
Selling each other's produce
With sustainability becoming an increasingly important factor for the horticultural sector this year Horticulture Wales are offering a new 'Environmental Excellence' Award.
The awards are open to applications from all Welsh horticultural businesses and organisations, we are on the lookout for nominees that can demonstrate tangible benefits to their business as a result of implementing environmentally-friendly or sustainable practices in their operations.
Winners in both categories will be revealed at the Lantra 'Land-Based Learner of the Year Awards' gala ceremony on Monday 2 December during the Royal Welsh Agricultural Society's Winter Fair.
